🚧 If you regularly hop on I-64 eastbound from Highway K in O’Fallon, heads up: MODOT is making a major change starting June 2nd. 

MODOT will be closing one lane on the eastbound entrance ramp to I-64 as part of a large-scale project to widen both I-64 and I-70, ultimately adding a third lane in each direction. 

Improve I-70 Project

• Starting June 2, 2025, the entrance ramp to I-64 eastbound from Highway K will shrink to a single lane. 

• That single-lane setup will last through July 2025.

• Expect delays during peak hours and plan alternate routes if possible. 

This project is part of MODOT’s broader mission to improve traffic flow in St. Charles County—a much-needed upgrade as our area continues to grow. 

Whether you're heading into Chesterfield for work or just doing your daily school run, this change will likely impact your drive. It's a great reminder to: 

• Factor traffic delays into your morning routine 

• Explore alternate routes via Technology Drive or Feise Rd 

• Keep neighbors in the loop—especially new homeowners unfamiliar with the area
